"Singapore's need for a stable government is far greater than
the other factors of good governance". How far do you agree?
in order for singapore to be a prosperous nation, it must learn to be
independant and strong. there are 3 factors in which singapore must
excel in, for it to be a respected nation. These are, stable govenment,
sovereignty, and maintaining people's needs.
A stable gov is an absolute neccessity for Singapore. Without stability,
singapore will not be able to prosper economically, due to the reluctance
of many companies to set up business in such a risky country. This will in
turn lead to financial difficulties in singapore. stability is therefore important
in this aspect. also, a stable gov means that policies and programmes can be
carried out safely, without any obstacles such as a lack of money deterring
them. Therefore, with a stable government, singapore can achieve high
economical growth and great reputation as a strong state.
maintaining sovereignty:
needed to prevent war from happening
friendship with countries can potentially help boost economical growth
co-operation with other countries can be advantageous in times of tumoil,
whether in singapore itself or with other countries
maintaining ppl's needs
-important as a lack of care may anger citizens, leading them to turn
against the state.
-education so as to cultivate a more intelligent future, impt for s'pore's
growth in the future
-provide employment as it grants an increase of economical strength.
it also helps make the state gain the reputation as a prosperous state
On the whole, i believe that a stable government would thus
bring out the factors of good governance, which includes sovereignty,
maintaining peoples needs and also social cohesion and national identity.
Only with a stable government and efficient leaders in it, would only
bring sovereignty and be able to maintain people's needs, comes
along social cohesion and national identity to its people.
only thus, would the nation be considered prosperous.
Thus, in conclusion, a stable government is far more crucial for the
development of s'pore.
for now and ever...
